Mother Dollhouse Doll by Bodo Hennig

This handmade Mother miniature poseable dollhouse doll by German dollmaker, Erna Meyer has a molded head covered in fabric with hand painted facial features and wears a black and white striped shirt, corduroy jacket and denim jeans. A large canvas bag completes her look. Her arms, legs and body are wrapped wire armature with cloth hands.

Erna Meyer, a kindergarten teacher, started hand-making dolls in 1945 after the war when jobs were hard to find. She attended the Nuremberg, Germany International Toy Fair in 1950 and her success took off. Her dolls are classic dollhouse dolls that go nicely with our line of Bodo Hennig dollhouses and dollhouse furniture.
