Frog King Crank Music Box by Graupner

This beautiful wooden crank Music Box is handmade and hand painted in the Erzgebirge region of Germany by the Graupner Holzminiaturen Family. This adorable Music Box plays a melody "You Are My Sunshine" as you turn the handle. A delightful decoration to add cheer to any home.

A culture of legends and fairy tales has always been deeply rooted in the Ore Mountains. Grimm's fairy tale “The Frog King” is about the pretty princess who one fine day is playing with her gold ball at a fountain. But when the ball falls into the well, a frog comes to the surface and offers to help. In return, the princess has to be the new playmate for the frog.
